Prinston Pan
Prinston Pan is a second generation Laotian American based in Northern California. He spent his childhood summers at his grandparents’ grocery store, where he listened to stories from Laotian immigrants—an experience that sparked his deep interest in preserving Lao history and culture.
My Story
Prinston is the creator of Lao Stories, videos that document the voices and life experiences of Laotian Americans across the United States. The project serves as a valuable primary source on the resilience and cultural heritage of the Lao diaspora and aims to educate and inspire the Lao youth. Prinston has contributed to initiatives focused on historical preservation and international advocacy, including fundraising efforts for the removal of un-exploded ordnance from the Vietnam War. His poetry, which explores themes of identity and memory, has been featured in international journals dedicated to Southeast Asian American history. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, golfing, and spending time with his family.
